UFC 308 purses: How much are Ilia Topuria, Max Holloway, and others making for their fights? Estimated payouts reported
UFC featherweight king Ilia Topuria will defend his throne against Max Holloway at UFC 308. The matchup will headline the fight card, taking place on Oct. 26 at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Ahead of the event, many are curious to know how much the fighters will be getting paid for their efforts on the fight card. Although no official information regarding this matter is available, an estimate can be made based on an athlete's previous salary.
Topuria was last seen in action at UFC 298 in February 2024. He defeated Alexander Volkanovski that night via second-round KO to capture the UFC belt. According to MMA Fighting, 'El Matador' received a sum of $350,000 that night.
Now that Ilia will be competing as a champion at UFC 308, it is possible for him to get a bigger paycheck than the aforementioned one.
Holloway's last fight took place at the historic UFC 300 event in April 2024. He locked horns aginst Justin Gaethje for the symbolic 'BMF' title. 'Blessed' blew the roof off the arena that night by delivering a thrilling last-second knockout.
According to Sport Bible, Holloway earned an estimated sum of $2.7 million, which included two bonuses of $300,000 each. So, Holloway can make around $2.1 million for his next outing at UFC 308.
Robert Whittaker and Khamzat Chimaev will go toe-to-toe in the co-main event of UFC 308. According to Marca.com, 'The Reaper' has a base salary of $400,000. So, he is expected to earn a paycheck close to that figure on Oct. 26.
Chimaev, on the other hand, reportedly has a base salary of $1 million. So, excluding any bonuses, 'Borz' can potentially take home a sum close to $1 million.
Magomed Ankalaev and Aleksandar Rakic will also compete on the main card of UFC 308. As reported by Marca.com, Ankalaev was paid a base salary of $100,000 at UFC 294. According to GIVEMESPORT, Rakic earned around $74,000 for his last outing at UFC 300.
The two athletes are expected to earn a similar amount to their aforementioned paycheck for their clash at UFC 308.
