UFC 309 is set to rock Madison Square Garden in New York City on Saturday, Nov. 16, with an exciting slate of matchups. The second-to-last pay-per-view event of the year marks the promotion’s eighth visit to 'The Big Apple' and the first since UFC 295 in November 2023, which was headlined by Alex Pereira and Jiri Prochazka.

The fight card will be headlined by an electrifying title showdown as reigning UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones defends his belt against Stipe Miocic. Meanwhile, the co-main event will see a five-round lightweight rematch between former champion Charles Oliveira and Michael Chandler.

UFC 309: Which songs have Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic walked out to?

Walkouts are the heartbeat of any major fight card, transforming the arena into a whirlwind of excitement. These entrances ignite the fighters’ adrenaline and unleash surges of energy through the crowd, amplifying the anticipation for the clashes to come.

While the walkout songs for the UFC 309 lineup remain under wraps, let’s revisit the iconic tracks these fighters have chosen for their past bouts.

With a nearly flawless UFC record of 21-1-1, including six wins by knockout, Jon Jones is preparing for the first defense of his heavyweight title. He claimed the belt with a dominant first-round submission of Ciryl Gane at UFC 285 in March 2023.

'Bones' is known for his tradition of switching up his walkout music, regularly opting for different tracks. Early in his career, Jones often made his entrance to the octagon with the energetic beats of 50 Cent’s 'God Gave Me Style', paired with a mashup of Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ iconic 'Empire State of Mind'.

As his career progressed, Jones embraced a new walkout anthem, blending Nelly's 'Hot in Herre' with Jadakiss' 'The Champ is Here' (produced by Green Lantern). This track became a staple for 'Bones', with the latter serving as his walkout anthem during his last octagon appearance.

In April 2016, Jones delivered one of the most iconic walkouts in UFC history, stepping into the arena to the powerful anthem 'Coming Home' by Dirty Money and Skylar Grey for his clash with Ovince Saint Preux at UFC 197.

What made this entrance truly unforgettable was the emotional weight behind it — the New York native was making his highly anticipated return to the octagon after a 15-month hiatus, following a tumultuous period that included a hit-and-run incident in Albuquerque.

Meanwhile, Stipe Miocic, boasting an octagon record of 14-4, with nine of those victories coming by knockout, enters UFC 309 with his sights set on making history as the second fighter to capture a three-time heavyweight championship. Miocic’s last reign ended in March 2021 at UFC 260 when he lost the title to Francis Ngannou. Since that setback, the former champion has been on the sidelines.

Throughout his UFC career, Miocic has remained loyal to his walkout anthem, choosing 'Till I Die' by Machine Gun Kelly since 2015. The song's gritty lyrics resonate deeply with Miocic, reflecting the bond he shares with the rapper through their shared Cleveland roots.

With a UFC record of 22-10 and one no contest, Charles Oliveira enters UFC 309 on the heels of a hard-fought split decision loss to Arman Tsarukyan at UFC 300 in April. The Brazilian once had an impressive 12-fight win streak that was abruptly halted when he faced Islam Makhachev at UFC 280 in October 2022. That defeat not only ended his streak but also cost him the lightweight title.

'Do Bronx' has established a signature style when it comes to his walkout music, consistently choosing 'O Hino' by Fernandinho.

With a UFC record of 2-3, including both victories by knockout, Michael Chandler is set to make his return after a two-year hiatus. 'Iron' was originally scheduled to face Conor McGregor at UFC 303 in June, but the highly anticipated showdown never materialized. Chandler’s last appearance in the Octagon came in November 2022, where he suffered a third-round submission defeat to Dustin Poirier at UFC 281.

Much like his opponent, 'Iron' has established a signature walkout routine, with the 38-year-old American consistently entering the Octagon to the powerful fusion of NF's tracks, 'Paid My Dues' and 'The Search'.

Another key matchup on the UFC 309 card sees an exciting middleweight showdown between Bo Nickal and Paul Craig.

Nickal, boasting an undefeated UFC record of 3-0, enters UFC 309 with momentum following a dominant submission win over Cody Brundage at UFC 300. The rising star is eager to continue his ascent, with eyes firmly set on climbing the ranks toward a future title shot.

The American wrestling sensation has made 'Hand of God' by Jon Bellion his go-to walkout tune.

On the other side, Craig, with a UFC record of 9-8-1, including six victories by submission, enters the cage seeking redemption after consecutive setbacks against Brendan Allen and Caio Borralho.

'Bear Jew' is known for keeping fans guessing with his walkout music. For his most recent entrance, he chose 'Victory Over the Sun' by Biffy Clyro, while at UFC 283, he opted for 'Knuckles' by The Snuts.

Check out the potential walkout songs for other fighters on the UFC 309 fight card:

Viviane Araujo: 'Eu Renasci Das Cinzas' by Mc Daniel, Mc Paulin Da Capital
