Both fighters trade leg kicks. Vera continues to stuff Figueiredo's takedown attempts. Overall, a close round.

Figueiredo tries to take the fight to the ground with multiple takedeown attempts but to no success. The Brazilian lands a combo of punches but Vera defends it well. Figueiredo lands a heavy shot the body. 'Chito' lands a heavy leg kick but the former flyweight champion lands a heavy punch that sits Vera down.
'Deus Da Guerra' continues with the body shots. The Ecuadorian responds with body shots of his own. The Brazilian shoots for a takedown on multiple occasion but Vera resists successfully.
Both fighters trade shots in the closing seconds of the round.
