UFC announcer Bruce Buffer takes a jibe at Conor McGregor to promote his bourbon brand

Legendary UFC announcer Bruce Buffer has joked that Conor McGregor could benefit from his advice on how to run a successful alcohol business.

Buffer's Puncher's Chance bourbon is apparently doing quite well in the United States. During a recent appearance on social media star Logan Paul's IMPAULSIVE podcast, the 65-year-old revealed that his whiskey has already won multiple accolades for its taste and design.

During the segment, Buffer took a light-hearted jibe at the 'Notorious' star, suggesting that he was going to show the Irishman how to run a whiskey business "the proper way."

"We've been out for two years. We're considered one of the fastest-selling highest-rated bourbons in America. I've won six gold medals, three for [the] design of the bottle, three for the taste, and we just got voted by the bourbon spectators [as] the top-five sipping bourbons in America. I'm going to [tell] Conor how to do it the proper way... Love you Conor, just had to give you a little... This is actually a really cool business to be in, I really enjoy it."

McGregor's business chops also appear to be second to none. In early 2021, the UFC superstar and his partners sold the bulk of their stakes in his whiskey brand, Proper No. Twelve, for upwards of $600 million.

Furthermore, according to a report by The Drinks Business, Proper No. Twelve is one of the top-selling Irish whiskey brands in the U.S.

Interestingly, former two-division UFC champion Daniel Cormier believes that Michael Chandler's collegiate wrestling background will enable him to be a better coach than Conor McGregor in TUF 31.

During a recent episode of DC & RC, Cormier said:

"I would probably say, in terms of coaching, Michael Chandler, because he was in the college wrestling world, he was wrestling under a coach like that. Conor never did those team sports all the way through college."

The UFC has also confirmed that McGregor and Chandler will fight it out in the octagon during the season finale of TUF 31. However, neither a date nor a location has been confirmed for the clash.
