UFC cutman reacts to Ian Machado Garry's wholesome apology to Charles Oliveira after UFC 310 loss against Shavkat Rakhmonov
Ian Machado Garry shared a heartfelt moment when he hugged Charles Oliveira following his loss to Shavkat Rakhmonov. Recently, UFC cutman Brad Tate reacted to this moment.
Garry faced Rakhmonov in the co-main event at UFC 310. In a back-and-forth fight, Garry showcased impressive takedown defense and nearly submitted Rakhmonov in the fifth round. However, Rakhmonov managed to escape and secured a unanimous decision victory. This marked the first time ‘Nomad’ did not finish an opponent, as he had finished all of his previous 18 fights.
Oliveira, the former lightweight champion, shares a strong bond with Garry. As Garry's coach and cornerman for the fight, Oliveira likely played a significant role in Garry’s spectacular takedown defense. Following the loss, Garry hugged ‘Do Bronx’ and apologized to him for not getting the job done in the fight.
ESPN MMA shared this clip on Instagram, sparking reactions from many fans and fighters. UFC cutman Tate, a close friend of Oliveira, reacted to the moment and expressed how meaningful Oliveira’s hug seemed, writing:
“A @charlesdobronxs hug is special.”
