UFC featherweight takes a dig at Dwayne Johnson as 'The Rock' acknowledges latest box office disaster
Dwayne Johnson can't seem to catch a break. The popular actor recently got taunted by UFC featherweight Bill Algeo while sharing some news about the failure of his latest superhero film Black Adam at the box office.
'The Rock' penned an emotional message to his fans, iterating that he won't be reprising his role as the DC superhero. He added that any plans for a sequel have been put on indefinite hold.
While Dwayne Johnson has portrayed many roles as an actor, the 50-year-old also owns a line of sports apparel called 'Project Rock' in collaboration with the popular brand, Under Armor. 'Project Rock' is the official UFC footwear partner.
However, it seems that Algeo is not a fan of the shoes provided by Johnson's company and made his disapproval known in a tweet, replying to Johnson's post mentioned above.
'Senor Perfecto' replied to Johnson's emotional tweet about his film, calling the post 'too long' and stating:
"TL, Don’t Care and your shoes still suck."

When Nate Diaz brutally insulted Dwayne Johnson-owned 'Project Rock' shoes
Dwayne Johnson and his footwear company's partnership with the UFC has been a hot topic of discussion among fighters and fans alike due to the alleged exploitative nature of the deal.
Reportedly, the partnership requires fighters and their team members to wear the new 'Project Rock' shoes during events. However, reports also indicated that athletes won't be getting any financial cuts from the deal.
As expected, many fighters were not happy with the collaboration and the ever-outspoken Nate Diaz was one of the most notable stars to express his disdain for the shoes.
After defeating Tony Ferguson via fourth-round submission in his last fight for promotion at UFC 279, Diaz spoke to Megan Olivi in a post-fight interview. After having to wear 'Project Rock' shoes at the weigh-ins and press conference leading up to the event, Diaz took shots at Dwayne Johnson:
“These shoes f***ing suck! Look at these shoes. They made me put this sh** on. F*** these shoes!”
