UFC featherweight takes a dig at USADA for testing "gas station d**k-pill user" Jon Jones just 4 times in 2022

UFC featherweight Chase Hooper sounded off at former light heavyweight champion Jon Jones being tested only four times in 2022. 'The Dream' posted a tweet berating the future heavyweight contender in true Christmas spirit.

Since it’s almost Christmas here’s a gift in the form of a fun fact:

Jon Jones (one of the best in the sport, and known gas station dick-pill user) has been tested the same number of times by USADA as me this year (a whopping 4 times) 😅💊💉💦

Here's what Chase Hooper's tweet read:

"Since it’s almost Christmas here’s a gift in the form of a fun fact: Jon Jones (one of the best in the sport, and known gas station dick-pill user) has been tested the same number of times by USADA as me this year (a whopping 4 times)."

To put the above tweet into context, we have to take into account Jiří Procházka's situation. Procházka was reportedly tested 64 times in 2022, which is 16 times more than Jones was tested.

USADA updated their database over the weekend. They have tested 3,286 athletes across 72 sports this year with a total of 11,001 samples. The UFC accounts for 38% of all athletes tested.

To understand why this is important, we have to take into consideration the fact that Jon Jones is expected to make his heavyweight debut. A move from light heavyweight to heavyweight requires putting on large amounts of muscle - something that is not easy to do.

So it just seems strange that Jones, who has previously tested positive for banned substances, was only tested four times this year.

Coach Brandon Gibson says Jon Jones has leveled up at heavyweight 😳

Jiří Procházka was supposed to defend his title against Glover Teixeira in a rematch at UFC 282. However, the former light heavyweight champion suffered a devastating shoulder injury that forced him out of the bout. Jan Blachowicz vs. Magomed Ankalaev was elevated to the main event cum championship status. However, the fight resulted in a draw.

Glover Teixeira and Jamahal Hill will compete for the vacant light heavyweight title in January at UFC 283 at the Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The instability of the light heavyweight division since Jon Jones' exit

Jon Jones last fought in 2020 against Dominick Reyes at UFC 247. The bout was an intense back-and-forth affair, with Reyes taking the fight to Jon Jones. However, 'Bones' successfully managed to defend his title for the 11th and last time in his light heavyweight professional career.

Jones announced his retirement from the light heavyweight division and expressed an interest in moving up a weight class.

Since 'Bones' relinquished the title, the light heavyweight crown has been passed around more than a couple of times. Blachowicz won the vacant title at UFC 253 after knocking out Dominick Reyes. After a successful title defense against Israel Adesanya at UFC 258, he lost the title to Glover Teixeira at UFC 267.

Glover Teixeira lost the title in his very next bout against Jiří Procházka at UFC 275. The bout was very close till the end when Procházka found a rear-naked choke finish in the fifth round, hence a rematch was booked for UFC 282.

Jiří Procházka had to pull out of the bout due to a devastating shoulder injury. Instead, Jan Blachowicz fought Magomed Ankalaev for the vacant title, but the fight resulted in a controversial majority draw.

A bout between Glover Teixeira and Jamahal Hill has been targeted for UFC 283 in Brazil.
