UFC fighter Casey Kenney involved in domestic violence case having not fought since 2021
Casey Kenney has been accused of domestic violence by his ex-girlfriend's mother, Esther Reyes. Kenney has not only been accused of violent behavior but also of stalking his ex-girlfriend, with video footage having been posted online.
Kenney has not competed in the octagon since his decision defeat to Song Yadong at UFC 265 in 2021. But his lengthy absence from fighting was not due to any legal troubles, with the formerly touted prospect having suffered several injuries requiring back-to-back surgeries.
In a series of Instagram posts made over the past week, starting on 22nd July, Reyes shared footage of her daughter after coming to her aid at Kenney's residence. She also shared footage of their search for a potential tracker that the UFC fighter had placed in her daughter's car.
She shared footage of the police at the bantamweight's house, who, according to Reyes, refused to answer the door.

Reyes has claimed that her daughter pressed charges against her ex-boyfriend but that Kenney has yet to be arrested.

Kenney can be seen waving at the camera on several occasions.
What controversy did Casey Kenney cause in the UFC in 2021?
Casey Kenney was recently accused of domestic violence by Esther Reyes, who has provided evidence of the alleged abuse.
However, it is not the first time Kenney has found himself in hot water, as comments he made about former UFC fighter Megan Anderson in 2021 also caused much controversy.
Ahead of Kenney's clash with Dominic Cruz at UFC 259, he appeared on an episode of the TimboSugarShow, a podcast hosted by Sean O'Malley and his coach Tim Welch.
During the show, Welch asked the bantamweight contender about Megan Anderson, a former UFC featherweight. He said this:
"Would you smash Megan Anderson or no, Casey?"
He responded with:
"Probably not, man. She’s not too… Well, I mean if it came down to it and it was like five AM or four; she’s a five AM’er, four AM’er. Just us two hanging out."
Anderson responded with frustration, writing this on X:
"I guess MMA is a line of work where you can publicly talk about whether you'd have sex with a co-worker in an utterly degrading way and face zero consequences. Disgusting behavior..."
