"UFC fighters are being knocked out by YouTubers" - Fans mock Dana White for his old comments on soccer

Dana White and the UFC recently announced a promotional partnership with Spain's biggest soccer league known as La Liga. However, it seems that the UFC president wasn't always an admirer of the sport (also known as football outside the United States, Canada, and Australia).

In an old video that recently resurfaced, White can be seen talking about how he "can't stand it" and considers soccer the "least talented sport on earth."

As expected, soccer fans would not stand this slander against their beloved game, and in a post made by SPORTbible on Instagram, expressed their disdain in the comment section.

British rapper Santan Dave poked at White, referencing the trend of retired UFC fighters switching over to the sport of boxing to fight celebrities like Jake Paul, saying:

"UFC fighters are being knocked out by YouTubers."

English footballer David Wheater also jokingly suggested that White was trying to hide his inability to kick a soccer ball.

"Tell us you can't kick a footy without telling us you can't kick a footy."

One user (@nicorealestate) diligently pointed out the irony of the UFC partnering with La Liga to expand its marketing base.

"Isn’t UFC teaming up with La Liga for PR?"

@willpride18 stated:

"He has obviously never played the game."

@kennohumberto_ joked about MMA, saying:

"A baby can punch and kick me too, similar principle surely."

@pete_obrien_82 said:

"He's think the biggest and most popular sport in the world is talentless."

@_assumi7 stated:

"Nah I'm a massive UFC fan but Dana saying s**t. He probably never kicked a football."

Dana White gives an update on Jiri Prochazka's return after shoulder injury

Dana White has claimed that there might be two fights at light heavyweight before Jiri Prochazka can return to try reclaiming his belt.

Prochazka was forced to pull out of his title defense against Glover Teixeira at UFC 282 on December 10 due to a nasty shoulder injury. 'Denisa' also made the decision to vacate the belt, allowing the UFC to set up Jan Blachowicz vs. Magomed Ankalaev for the vacant light heavyweight title.

In a recent appearance on Paddy Pimblett's podcast, Chattin Pony, Dana White spoke about Prochazka's status:

"He [Jiri Prochazka] will still be looked at as the champion. He never lost the belt. He vacated it. These guys [Jan Blachowicz and Magomed Ankalaev] will fight for the title. There might actually be two fights that happen before he's able to return after that shoulder surgery."

White affirmed that Prochazka didn't lose his championship and it seems he will be given a title shot as soon as he returns.
