UFC heavyweight contender thanks Brendan Schaub for gifting him massive Nike Air Jordan shoes that fits his size

UFC heavyweight contender Curtis Blaydes appeared on the most recent episode of Brendan Shaub's show Food Truck Diaries.

Schaub is a self-proclaimed "sneakerhead" and has begun to gift his guests with a pair of Nike Air Jordan sneakers at the end of each episode. Following his appearance on the show, Blaydes took to Instagram to thank 'Big Brown.'

'Razor' stated that he often can't find shoes in his size, as the UFC heavyweight contender needs size 16 shoes. Blaydes posted the following on Instagram:

"S/O to Brendan for hooking me up with two pairs of Jordan’s, most ppl really don’t understand how difficult it is to find cool gym shoes in my size (16) it’s not even the prices it’s literally the unavailability."

Curtis Blaydes is currently ranked No.4 in the heavyweight division and is a win or two away from competing for the coveted UFC title. With only one loss in his previous 8 bouts, 'Razor' has made his case as possibly the best grappler in the division and holds the record for the most takedowns in divisional history.

With No.1-ranked heavyweight Ciryl Gane taking on Jon Jones for the vacant heavyweight title, Blaydes could face either Sergei Pavlovich or Stipe Miocic in his next bout, the only other two men above him in the division.

UFC heavyweight contender Curtis Blaydes believes he is a big test for Jon Jones

Curtis Blaydes recently appeared on the Food Truck Diaries hosted by former MMA fighter Brendan Schaub.

The pair discussed Jon Jones' move from light heavyweight to heavyweight, a move that 'Bones' has prepared for since 2020. Jones will be making his divisional debut against Ciryl Gane at UFC 285 for the heavyweight title.

Blaydes discussed the possibility of fighting Jones, and the heavyweight contender believes that he has several advantages over 'Bones,' who is often regarded as one of the greatest MMA fighters of all time.

'Razor' believes that if the pair ever fought, his size and grappling ability would subdue Jones' threats, and he said this:

"Just the difference between 215 or 197 compared to heavyweight, when you’re on the bottom, which I do plan on him being underneath me, he’s gonna use a lot more energy than what he’s used to using. I think that’ll be the biggest factor. I think he’s more well rounded, but the wrestling, the size, the explosion, and power, I think jab for jab, if we both connect, he’ll go backwards, and I won’t."
