UFC legend shares his skepticism about Conor McGregor's return: "It’s very, very concerning"
A UFC legend recently weighed in on Conor McGregor's octagon return being delayed as a result of his injury and noted that he has become skeptical. The Irishman was forced to withdraw from his UFC 303 main event bout against Michael Chandler and there hasn't been a new date announced.
There was plenty of anticipation for the former two-division UFC champion's return, especially after the promotion released a trailer for his bout. 'The Notorious' has been out of action due to a leg injury that he sustained against Dustin Poirier and for his obligations for his role in the 'Road House' remake.
During the latest episode of Good Guy / Bad Guy, UFC legend Daniel Cormier opened up about McGregor vs. Chandler falling through. 'DC' mentioned that the promotion not announcing a rescheduled date leads to him believe that the bout won't happen this year. He said:
"To me no return date tells me that this is much more serious that anybody even McGregor is really letting on, Chael. It's very, very concerning to me that I really don't know when we're gonna see Conor McGregor fight again. I am leaning more towards it not happening in 2024 at all." [2:33 - 2:53]

Conor McGregor reveals reason for pulling out of UFC 303
Conor McGregor provided an update to fans and revealed the reason of pulling out of his bout against Michael Chandler at UFC 303.
'The Notorious' took to his Instagram account to provide an update and noted that pulling out of the event was a difficult decision to make. McGregor mentioned that he didn't make the decision on his own and did the right thing for his health. He wrote:
"I picked up an injury prior to the press conference that required more time to heal than was available to me. The decision to postpone the fight was not made lightly, but one made in consultation with my doctors, the UFC, and my team. My fans and my opponent deserve me at my best for this fight and we will get there!"
