UFC legend slammed for being "a slave to Dana White" and training Tommy Fury for "fake win" by Diego Sanchez

Former UFC fighter Diego Sanchez has labeled Nick Diaz a "slave" for helping coach Tommy Fury in his fight with Jake Paul and for still being under UFC contract.

Sanchez is a veteran of the UFC after competing in over 30 fights in the organization. The 41-year-old is also a former lightweight title challenger, losing to B.J. Penn at UFC 107.

In a recent post on Instagram, 'Nightmare' shared a photo of Nick Diaz with 'TNT'. In the caption, the 41-year-old claimed the Stockton-born fighter was "a slave to Dana White" and stated that Tommy Fury's split decision victory over Jake Paul this weekend was "fake."

Sanchez wrote:

"Congrats @tommyfury on the fake W if @nickdiaz209 was not one of the many slaves to DANA and the @ufc never ending contact??? Us legends could get paid to go out the right way!! In @bareknucklefc how real gangsters get down no pads! It’s okay I love ya nick sorry your Dana’s salve still I breaks my heart. 😌trying to get you paid and give you a chance to redeem a solid loss! Diaz last fought for the UFC in 2021, when he returned after a six-year hiatus to face Robbie Lawler. The 39-year-old was denied a dream return, however, as he verbally submitted after being dropped in the third round.

Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy apologizes to Joe Rogan following Jake Paul's loss to Tommy Fury

Tommy Fury had his hand raised via split decision against Jake Paul this past weekend. The pair went the distance in a cruiserweight bout, during which Fury was able to demonstrate his boxing pedigree. The Mancunian fighter outlanded the American in every round of the fight, but was dropped by Paul's jab in the eighth.

During the fight, Dave Portnoy took to Instagram to apologize to Rogan and Fury. The Barstool Sports founder claimed that Paul would walk through the 23-year-old whilst appearing on the Joe Rogan Experience last month.

In an Instagram post that hit his feed during the seventh round, Portnoy addressed Joe Rogan and Tommy Fury, admitting he was wrong:

"As a leader of men I need to take accountability for the worst prediction of my life. I’ve never been more wrong about anything ever. Tommy Fury proved me wrong. I didn’t think he had a shot in hell. @joerogan was right. We need more leaders in this country who will admit when they are a moron. Today I am that leader/moron. Credit to me for admitting that"
