UFC light heavyweight contender claims "chubby" Jamahal Hill's hard-earned title to be his own

Jamahal Hill was recently crowned the new UFC light heavyweight champion after he dominated Glover Teixeira for the majority of five rounds before being awarded a unanimous decision win.

Hill has now been called out by a man who fought for the light heavyweight title a month before 'Sweet Dreams' did, as Magomed Ankalaev took to Twitter and said the following:

"Careful what you wish for, chubby. I am coming for MY belt."

Magomed Ankalaev and Jan Blachowicz were involved in the main event of UFC 282, a card initially headlined by Glover Teixeira and Jiri Prochazka. Weeks prior to the event, Prochazka was forced to withdraw from the bout. He suffered a severe shoulder injury in training and vacated the title as he would be injured for at least nine months.

Ankalaev and Blachowicz were matched up for the vacant light heavyweight title fight, but disaster struck for UFC President Dana White when the main event was ruled a split draw, leaving the belt vacant again.

At the UFC 282 post-fight press conference, a less-than-happy White announced that Teixeira and Jamahal Hill would fight for the title at UFC 283 in Brazil. 'Sweet Dreams' surpassed all the expectations of fans and pundits, as the narrative going into the bout was that Hill's only chance of winning was via KO.

Jamahal Hill had won his previous three fights via TKO/KO. While many expected a similar result, the champion showed he had the ability to fight well into the championship rounds. Hill has his sights set on a fight with Jiri Prochazka but has welcomed all challengers if the former champion is not fit in time.

Jamahal Hill open to fighting Magomed Ankalaev for first title defense

Jamahal Hill is the new UFC light heavyweight champion, and he recently commented on possibly facing Magomed Ankalaev next, as well as gave his thoughts on Ankalaev's fight against Jan Blachowicz.

'Sweet Dreams' stated that he thought the Russian did enough to earn a decision win over Blachowicz and has welcomed Ankalaev as a challenger. Hill was recently interviewed by James Lynch and said:

"He's right there at the top, put himself in position to be considered for [a title fight]... If I'm ready to go, when I'm ready to fight I'll fight who's available. I would't mind knocking him the f**k out, just for the simple fact that people keep bringing his name up [when] talking to me."
