UFC lightweight asks the world to "pray" for Ryan Garcia amid the boxer's internet theatrics: "That brotha needs help"
Many fans have dismissed Ryan Garcia's social media usage after months of inexplicable activity but has still given cause for concern. Of those worried about the fighter's health, UFC lightweight Terrance McKinney believes the boxer needs support more than anything.
With a July 4 tweet, McKinney called for the public to "pray" for the 25-year-old instead of mocking him. 'T.Wrecks' claimed Garcia "needs help" and shamed fans who were "laughing up his psychosis for their enjoyment."
The tweet from McKinney came just one day after he stood behind another common target on social media by asking fans to leave Michael Chandler "alone." After Conor McGregor withdrew from UFC 303, 'Iron' became a subject of ridicule on social media due to losing out on a major payday in his career.
As the lightweight received criticism for handling the fight fallout, McKinney backed Chandler, whom he called a "good guy."
The 29-year-old has no direct connection to Garcia but appears to feel pity for the 24-1 boxer despite many believing he is still putting on an act to gain attention.
What has Ryan Garcia been tweeting?
Ryan Garcia has caused continuous storms on X with his posts while constantly letting fans hear his thoughts. Though Garcia's social media usage has been in line with his status quo, many have begun to side with Terrance McKinney in feeling concerned for his mental health.
Public concern for Garcia stemmed from a tweet from boxing reporter Michael Benson on July 3 claiming that the boxer's father openly pushed for his son to accept therapy. Henry Garcia said he would "love" for his son to seek help and wishes he would stop his frantic actions.
Garcia responded with his own tweet, claiming that his father has no working knowledge of his current situation.
Instead, the former WBC champion continues to call out a different fighter each day despite being suspended from boxing for one year.
