Mateusz Gamrot called out Justin Gaethje and Charles Oliveira following his win at UFC 285

Gamrot was last seen in action against Jalin Turner at UFC 285. He took the fight on short notice and won the bout via a split decision. Following his win, the No.7 ranked UFC lightweight claimed that he deserves to fight a higher-ranked fighter next.

Interestingly, Mateusz Gamrot suggested that he'd like to take on either Justin Gaethje or Charles Oliveira next. While stating that he is fine with waiting for Gaethje and Oliveira to get done with their next fights and then fight them, he had this to say during a post-fight interview:

"Right now, I’m No. 7 [UFC rankings], and I took a short-notice fight with No. 10. I’m sure I deserve someone higher than me, only top five. Now I have to wait in the future because Gaethje has a fight, Oliveira has a fight, and more fighters [have fights]."

He further added:

"I would like to get back to the octagon after summer. The best name for me is Gaethje or Oliveira. I think these guys are the best for my opponents because, yeah, I think so.”
