UFC lightweight prospect stunned to hear his name mentioned on Joe Rogan's podcast

Terrance McKinney suffered a devastating knockout in his most recent fight, but Joe Rogan mentioning his name in an episode of his popular podcast seems to have raised the lightweight's spirits.

During the 135th episode of the JRE MMA Show, Rogan and former UFC fighter Paul Felder discussed the 28-year-old's loss to Ismael Bonfim at UFC 283 last month.

Rogan praised the perfect flying knee Bonfim landed on 'T.Wrecks', who the color commentator thinks has the potential to be a future champion:

"I was like McKinney is a future champion, but this f*****g guy, this guy, Bonfim is a monster, so talented. Look at that flying knee. Oh my God."

Reacting to the clip, McKinney stated his excitement at hearing his name mentioned in a conversation between the UFC legends. He also vowed to bounce back from his loss:

"I always say I’m a fan first so it still trips me out when I’m listening to something and hear my name from these two in a conversation. I’ll be back it was an honor to fight with Bonfim"

'T-Wrecks' is 13-5 as a mixed martial artist (3-2 in the UFC). He is a Dana White's Contender Series alum and fought for promotions like CageSports, ExciteFight, and Front Street Fights prior to joining the UFC.

Although he has called out fellow lightweight star Paddy Pimblett on multiple occasions in the past, his recent loss might affect the chances of that matchup coming together.
