UFC Macau: Which songs did Petr Yan and Deiveson Figueiredo walk out to?
Walkouts are the pulse of every major fight card, turning the arena into a storm of excitement. These entrances fuel the fighters’ adrenaline and send waves of energy rippling through the crowd, heightening anticipation for the battles ahead.
Although the walkout songs for the UFC Macau lineup are still a mystery, let’s take a look back at the memorable tracks these fighters have used in their previous bouts.
Holding a 9-4 UFC record with four victories by knockout, Petr Yan is set to return to the octagon after securing a unanimous decision win over Song Yadong at UFC 299 in March. This victory marked a turnaround for the 31-year-old Russian, breaking a three-fight losing streak that included a bantamweight title challenge against Aljamain Sterling at UFC 273 in April 2022.
'No Mercy' often mixes up his walkout music, bringing something different to each fight. For UFC 299, Yan went with the iconic 'Gonna Fly Now' by Bill Conti, the classic motivational anthem from 'Rocky'.
For his showdown with Sean O'Malley at UFC 280 in October 2022, Yan set the tone by choosing 'Warriors Path' by Drummatix as his walkout song.
On the other side, Deiveson Figueiredo, holding a 13-3-1 record in the octagon with four wins each by knockout and submission, is gearing up for his fourth outing in the 135-pound division at UFC Macau.
The former flyweight champion moved up a weight class in December of last year and has since been on an impressive 3-0 run. His latest performance saw him secure a decisive unanimous decision victory over Marlon Vera at UFC Abu Dhabi in August.
Much like his upcoming opponent, ‘Deus da Guerra’ enjoys switching up his walkout music with every fight. At UFC 300, Figueiredo made a memorable entrance to the lively rhythms of 'Voando Pro Pará' by Brazilian sensation Joelma.
For his 125-pound title clash with Brandon Moreno at UFC 283 in January 2023, ‘Deus da Guerra’ walked out to the beats of 'Baludao' by Dkria featuring MC Tikao.
UFC Macau: Which songs have Yan Xiaonan, Tabatha Ricci, and others walked out to?
With a UFC record of 8-3, Yan Xiaonan heads into UFC Macau after a tough unanimous decision defeat to reigning strawweight champion Weili Zhang at UFC 300 in April.
‘Nine’ doesn’t stick to a single walkout song, often switching things up with each fight. For her UFC 300 bout, Xiaonan chose '远走高飞' ('Fly Away') by Chinese pop sensation Jin Zhiwen.
Similarly, at UFC 288, she made her way to the Octagon to the rhythm of 'Yuan Zou Gao Fei', another track by Zhiwen.
With an octagon record of 6-2, Tabatha Ricci enters the fight after securing a decision victory over Angela Hill in August. The 29-year-old Brazilian is currently riding a wave of consecutive wins, having bounced back strong after her loss to Lupita Godinez at UFC 295 in November 2023.
'Baby Shark' made her entrance to the iconic 'Intro' by the legendary American rapper DMX at UFC 295. Meanwhile, for her UFC 285 matchup in March 2023, she chose the motivational anthem 'Tellem That I’m Comin'' by Lathan Warlick.
