Al Iaquinta trolls Conor McGregor with picture of his loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov
Al Iaquinta pulled off a great response to a recent social media spat with Conor McGregor.
'Raging' has engaged in a brief Twitter back and forth with the former UFC two-division champ. Iaquinta started the fire when he reminded everyone that Eagle FC bantamweight Ricky Bandejas knocked out James Gallagher, an Irish fighter being likened to McGregor, back in 2018.
In his recent tweet, he wrote:
"To me Ricky bandejas will always be the guy that knocked out that cocky Bellator mcgregor. What a legend."
As expected, McGregor hit back and posted a photo of Donald Cerrone landing a brutal front kick on Iaquinta's face in the comment box.
Iaquinta then followed suit. The former lightweight title contender replied with a side-by-side photo of Gallagher's loss to Bandejas and McGregor's loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229.
Jake Paul makes a bold fight offer for Conor McGregor and the UFC
Conor McGregor is yet to make his return, having been sidelined due to a leg injury since July. However, 'The Notorious' has begun training again and appears to be working on his boxing.
The Irish MMA superstar recently posted a short video clip of him hitting the pads in boxing gloves. It didn't take long before Jake Paul reacted and criticized McGregor's boxing.
'The Problem Child' also claimed he could knock the former UFC champ-champ out in either boxing or MMA. McGregor then responded and called Paul a "Jacka**" in another short video clip.
The exchange has prompted the YouTuber to come up with a new offer for UFC president Dana White. Paul now proposes a one-fight deal to face McGregor in the UFC.
The internet star also upped the ante and demanded that White amend his advocacy for fighter pay and healthcare should he beat McGregor. If he loses, he'll donate all the money he'll make from the bout to UFC fighters earning less than $50k and will leave the promotion alone for good.
In his recent tweet, Paul wrote:
"Dana [White] - Since you like me now, how about a 1 fight UFC deal to fight Conor. If I win, you agree to my UFC fighter pay and healthcare proposal. If I lose I donate my entire purse to all UFC fighters who make less than $50K a fight and never mention UFC again Deal?
