"I left you like a little seesaw" - Conor McGregor fires back at Paulie Malignaggi for agreeing with Jake Paul's comments
Conor McGregor has lashed out at former professional boxer Paulie Malignaggi for agreeing with Jake Paul's recent comments about errors in the Irishman's boxing technique.
The former UFC two-division champion is currently recovering from a leg injury he suffered last year. McGregor recently posted a video where he can be seen doing some light pad work. Paul was clearly unimpressed with McGregor's striking in the video and criticised flaws in his game:
"This is embarrassing @thenotoriousmma. Your chin wide open with no head movement for the PRBLM CHILD hand of god," Paul wrote on Instagram.
Malignaggi seemed to agree with Paul's assessment of McGregor's boxing technique, claiming that 'The Notorious' is apparently "light work."
McGregor didn't take Malignaggi's comments too kindly and jibed at his former sparring partner on social media. McGregor shared a picture from one of his sparring sessions with Malignaggi ahead of the 2017 crossover fight with Floyd Mayweather.
In the picture, Malignaggi can be seen lying on his back inside the ring with McGregor standing tall nearby. The Irishman is looking on as the former boxer tries to get back on his feet. The picture was probably clicked when the former UFC lightweight champion dropped Malignaggi during one of their sparring sessions. McGregor captioned the picture, stating:
"I left you like a little seesaw."
Jake Paul vows to KO "washed up" Conor McGregor in potential showdown
Jake Paul has been calling out Conor McGregor for a potential showdown inside the squared circle for a while now. The Irishman, however, is yet to respond to 'The Problem Child'. Paul recently claimed that McGregor is a "washed out" fighter and that he'd KO him if they ever crossed paths:
"I feel bad for stupid people, they're so stupid they don't even realise they're stupid. It's like people who think Masvidal is a good fighter; it's like the people who think Conor McGregor is still a good fighter. These guys haven't won fights in I don't know how the f*** long. They're over the hill, washed-up bozos and I'm going to knock them both the f*** out."
Paul is currently 5-0 inside the boxing ring. He most recently picked up a violent knockout win over former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley. McGregor, on the other hand, has competed in just one professional boxing match against Floyd Mayweather thus far. McGregor lost the fight via TKO in the 10th round.
The Irishman is currently in the final stages of recovery for his broken leg and is expected to return to the octagon later this year.
