Sean Strickland recently took to Twitter to announce that the U.S. Department of Justice would be returning his firearms and ammunition after a period of three years.
"It's my GUN BIRTHDAY!!!!! DOJ is giving me back my guns and ammo... 3 years later... HAPPY DAYS!!!" wrote Sean Strickland.

When asked by someone on Twitter on why the firearms were confiscated in the first place, Strickland responded by saying:
"Convicted of violent crimes using a deadly weapon. What was the deadly weapon you ask. nothing I hit two people once lmao. In California violent crimes or felony wobbles ban you from owning a gun for 10 years. no f***ing clue until they reminded me the 8th year. I live in NV now."

In recent times, Strickland has emerged as an outspoken athlete in the UFC. The 31-year-old spoke about suffering from anxiety and depression in a recent Twitter rant. 'Tarzan' also revealed how he came to terms with those issues.

Sean Strickland is undefeated as a middleweight in the UFC
'Tarzan' has competed in multiple divisions in the UFC. Strickland started his career in the promotion as a 185-pounder and won his first two contests.
The 31-year-old then decided to move down to welterweight. Strickland had eight UFC fights as a 170-pounder and won five of them. The North Carolina native then moved back to middleweight and has been undefeated ever since.
Strickland is currently on a six-fight win streak that includes victories over Brendan Allen and Uriah Hall. In his last appearance, 'Tarzan' took on Jack Hermansson in a five-round contest.
Strickland put his boxing skills on display and scored a split decision victory over 'The Joker'. The three judges scored the contest 49-46, 47-48 and 49-46 in favor of Strickland.
Considering the incredible run he is on, there is a high chance that one more win would put 'Tarzan' next in line for a shot at the middleweight title. The title currently rests with Israel Adesanya, who is expected to take on Jared Cannonier for his next title defense.
