UFC releases electrifying trailer spotlighting Jon Jones’ return to the octagon at UFC 285

Jon Jones, one of the greatest MMA fighters of all time, is all set to return to the UFC octagon to headline UFC 285 on Saturday, March 4, after almost three years on hiatus.

The former light heavyweight champion will be making his much-anticipated debut in the heavyweight division against former interim champ Ciryl Gane. The fight will serve as the main event for the now-vacant heavyweight title belt.

The UFC has released an exciting trailer titled 'The Goat is Back' for their upcoming event, featuring the return of 'Bones' into the cage. The trailer showcases Jones' journey in the cage to become the greatest light heavyweight champion of all time. The video also features another explosive matchup for the women's flyweight championship between Valentina Shevchenko and Alexa Grasso as the co-main event for the upcoming pay-per-view event.

Apart from the two championship fights, the main card will also feature a middleweight bout between debutant Bo Nickal and Jamie Pickett, as well as a welterweight matchup between undefeated Shavkat Rakhmonov and Geoff Neal. The two were originally slated to co-headline the inaugural UFC Fight Night of 2023.

With such an exciting lineup of fights, UFC 285 is definitely gearing up to be one of the most highly anticipated fight events of the promotion, sure to make for an unforgettable night of intense action.


Jon Jones discusses his plans for the Heavyweight division if he defeats Ciryl Gane for the title at UFC 285

After announcing a partnership with NFT company Kanpai Pandas, Jon Jones joined Twitter Spaces with Kanpai Pandas and addressed his fresh eight-fight contract with the UFC.

At one point during the interview, Jones was asked about his future plans in the heavyweight division should he secure a win against Gane. In response, the former light heavyweight champ revealed that he is eyeing a fight against the longest reigning UFC heavyweight champion of all time, Stipe Miocic:

“I’ve got my sights on Stipe Miocic. I think it just means the most. There’s a lot of guys out there, but for me, personally, for my legacy, to defeat the greatest heavyweight of all-time, it just means the most to me…As far as how soon, hopefully I get out of this fight with no serious injuries, but I’d like to get [back] out there as soon as possible. My goal is anywhere from two to three fights depending on how it looks.”
