UFC Saudi Arabia: Sergei Pavlovich vs. Jairzinho Rozenstruik: Live round-by-round updates
A heavyweight match-up between Sergei Pavlovich and Jairzinho Rozenstruik will go down on the main card of UFC Saudi Arabia, later today (Feb. 1) at the ANB Arena, Riyadh.
While Pavlovich (18-3) was once seen as the boogeyman of the 265-pound division, a series of recent setbacks, including his knockout loss to Tom Aspinall, has put a real damper on the Russian's title dreams.
The former interim title challenger, however, possesses monstrous KO power and holds wins against the likes of Curtis Blaydes and Tai Tuivasa among others.
Standing across the cage against him this weekend will be, Rozenstruik (15-5) a credentialed kickboxer with heavy hands. 'Bigi Boy' was last seen in a split decision win over Tuivasa. A victory this weekend would help him break into the top five of the division.

Round 1
Rozenstruik is using his jabs to prevent his opponent from advancing. 'Bigi Boy' is also employing leg kicks. A looping right hand from Pavlovich momentarily stuns Rozenstruik.
The Russian is more measured in his approach, using his straights diligently. A big one-two lands for Pavlovich which sends his opponent stumbling back. Rozenstruik trips and gives up side control to his opponent. Pavlovich uses the opportunity to land a barrage of body shots.

Round 2
As the second round unfolds a right hook partially lands for Pavlovich. However, the relative lack of action invites boos from the crowd. Eventually, a right-hand land for the Russian.
Another powerful right hand sends 'Bigi Boy' crashing down to the canvas. Pavlovich quickly pounces on his opponent and flatten him before landing ground and pound. However, he hardly inflicts any power shot on his opponent.

Round 3
Pavlovich is starting to connect. He lands a quick 1-2 that seemingly wobbles his opponent. Rozenstruik lands a powerful left hand but gets hit with a crisp 1-2 in return.
After another back-and-forth which sees Pavlovich landing the cleaner strikes, the Russian goes for a single leg and forces his opponent to the ground. Much like the prior rounds, 'Bigi Boy' pulls half guard but does nothing to get back to his feet.
The fighters eventually return to their feet and Pavlovich connects with a right hand. 'Bigi Boy' rallies forward with looping hooks but fails to land anything clean.
