UFC Vegas 100 bonus and aftermath: Debutant and three others take home $50K, Neil Magny misses out on massive record, and more

UFC Vegas 100 is now in the books and rising welterweight contender Carlos Prates emerged as the biggest victor of the night. Prates went up against MMA veteran Neil Magny in a five-round clash. The fight headlined the event which took place on Nov. 9 at the UFC Apex facility in Paradise, Nevada.

The bout was a short-lived affair as 'The Nightmare' made light work of Magny and knocked him out in the opening round. With the victory, the Brazilian now has the third-longest finish streak (4) in the 170-pound division. He was awarded a Performance of the Night (POTN) bonus and took home an additional sum of $50,000.

Magny had 22 wins in the UFC prior to the bout and had the chance to join Andrei Arlovski and Donald Cerrone for the record of second-most UFC wins but 'The Haitian Sensation' failed to do so on fight night.

Mansur Abdul-Malik and Dusko Todorovic opened up the main card of UFC Vegas 100 in a middleweight scrap. The event marked Abdul-Malik's debut in the multi-billion-dollar promotion. The 27-year-old ran through Todorovic and finished him in the first round. He also earned an extra $50,000 bonus for his efforts.

Charles Radtke and Matthew Semelsberger locked horns in a welterweight scrap in the prelims of UFC Vegas 100. It took Radtke just 51 seconds to knock his opponent out and he was also named among the winners of the $50,000 POTN bonus.

D'amon Blackshear and Cody Stamann fought on the prelims and Blackshear submitted him with a rear-naked choke in the first round. He also received a $50,000 bonus for his victory.

The first four fights happened in such quick progression that the card ended up having the shortest cage time (12 minutes and 53 seconds) for the first four fights at a UFC event in 2024.
