UFC Vegas 103: Cody Brundage vs. Julian Marquez: Live round-by-round updates
A middleweight bout between Cody Brundage and Julian Marquez will serve as the co-main event for UFC Vegas 103 later this evening (March 1) at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas.
Brundage (10-6 and 1 No-contest) sports a fan-friendly style, with five of his wins coming via knockouts. However, the 30-year-old is in a dicey spot in his MMA career. He is 2-2 and 1 NC in his last five fights, with his last win coming in 2023.
A win this weekend would be important for the Michigan native to justify his place on the roster.
In the other half of the event, Marquez also boasts heavy hands, as evidenced by his six knockout wins. However, like his opponent, he too is in a rough spot in his career.

Round 1
Brundage leads with a knee strike and follows it up with a right hand. Marquez seems a bit wobbly.
The fighters reset, and Marquez is employing body shots. Brundage is landing power shots.
Marquez slips and falls, and Brundage jumps on a choke hold but fails to finish it. As the pair gets back to their feet, 'The Cuban Missile Crisis' connects with a clean left hand.
Brundage is landing . A huge right hand from Marquez launches his opponent's mouth guard out. Moments later, Brundage returns the favor with a power shot, sending his opponent's mouthpiece flying.
The referee stops the fight momentarily for the fighters to get their mouthpieces back in. As the fight restarts, Brundage floors his opponent with an overhand right at the end of a combination. He follows it up with ground and pound, forcing the referee to stop the fight.
Brundage is the victor.
