UFC Vegas 91 was headlined by a five-round flyweight scrap between Matheus Nicolau and Alex Perez. The event was held on April 27 at the UFC Apex facility in Enterprise, Nevada.

The fight marked Nicolau's return to the octagon after a year-long hiatus. He was last seen in action in April 2023 when he faced off against Brandon Royval and suffered a knockout loss. Before that, the Brazilian was riding a six-fight win streak.

Perez, on the other hand, had lost three fights in a row before the encounter on April 27.
