UFC Vegas 94: Cody Durden vs. Bruno Silva: Live round-by-round updates
Flyweights Cody Durden and Bruno Silva will duke it out on the main card of UFC Vegas 94.
Despite his submission loss to Tagir Ulanbekov at UFC 296, Durden (16-5-1) has had a respectable run in the UFC so far. While his promotional record of 5-3-1 is nothing spectacular, he was on a four-fight win streak before his loss to Ulanbekov.
A win this weekend is paramount for the American to keep his place in the top 15.
Silva (13-5-2 and one NC) is currently on a three-fight win streak, with his most recent win coming against Tyson Nam at UFC Fight Night 221 in March of last year. Interestingly, the Brazilian too last tasted defeat at the hands of Ulanbekov.
Per the UFC's official website, there are no clear favorites for this fight. Durden has a -102 odds of victory, with his rival close behind (-118).

UFC Vegas 94: Cody Durden vs. Bruno Silva
Round 1
Durden immediately lands a body kick to start the fight. Silva fires back a calf kick. A quick one-two lands for 'Bulldog' before he pounces out of range.
Silva ducks under a right hand and ties up his opponent. Body shot followed by, right hook land for Durden. An uppercut on the inside lands for the American. Durden connects with a big right hand.
Durden seems to have a power advantage and is the aggressor early in the fight. However the Brazilian seems to be quicker.
Another big one-two lands for Durden. He follows it up with a three-punch combo. A counter right by Durden stuns his opponent momentarily.
An accidental eye poke, puts a momentary pause to the action, with under a minute left on the clock. As the fight restarts Durden wastes no time and lunges at his opponent with punches. Silva fires back halting his opponent's unhindered advance.
A spinning backkick lands for Durden. A good round for the American.
Round 2
Durden connects with a straight punch. Silva is on shaky legs. As the fighters changes level, he tries to lock in an anaconda choke. However, despite repeated efforts, the Durden fails to secure the choke.
The American is trying to get a full mount, as his opponent tries to make his way back to his feet. The referee warns Silva about fence grabs. A heavy knee lands for Durden in the clinch.
As the fighters return to their feet, Silva lands a huge right uppercut that puts Durden on the floor. A few more follow up shots and the referee stops the fight.
'Bulldog' is the victor.
