UFC veteran backs Joe Rogan amid backlash from Donald Trump: "Better fire his campaign manager"
UFC veteran Jake Shields believes Donald Trump should "fire his campaign manager" following his feud with Joe Rogan.
Earlier this month, an unexpected disagreement sparked between Trump and Rogan. Everything started when the UFC commentator was on his podcast, 'The Joe Rogan Experience,' and voiced his support for Robert F. Kennedy Jr as a person, not specifically as a presidential candidate.
Trump must have considered Rogan's comments as an endorsement, leading to him posting the following message on Truth Social:
"It will be interesting to see how loudly Joe Rogan gets BOOED the next time he enters the UFC Ring??? MAGA2024"
Former UFC fighter Jake Shields took to Twitter and re-posted Donald Trump's message calling out Joe Rogan. Shields reacted with the following caption:
"Joe Rogan has been part the UFC for 20 years and will not be getting booed. Trump better fire his campaign manager before it is too late."
Joe Rogan confirms he wasn't endorsing Robert F. Kennedy Jr amid Donald Trump feud
Joe Rogan has typically remained neutral in political conversations, especially considering the backlash that comes from having a massive platform. Therefore, the beloved UFC commentator took to Twitter and had this to say about how he wasn't endorsing Robert F. Kennedy Jr to become president of the United States:
"For the record, this isn’t an endorsement. This is me saying that I like RFKjr as a person, and I really appreciate the way he discusses things with civility and intelligence. I think we could use more of that in this world."
Rogan concluded by reminding fans to not get their political information from him:
I also think Trump raising his fist and saying “fight!” after getting shot is one of the most American fucking things of all time. I’m not the guy to get political information from. If you want that from a comic, go to @ComicDaveSmith. He actually knows what he’s talking about."
Robert F. Kennedy Jr is running as an independent candidate for the 2024 presidential election. With that said, the 47th president of the United States is expected to be either Republican Donald Trump or Democrat Kamala Harris.
