UFC veteran questions Joe Rogan’s decision to invite Peter Thiel on his podcast in light of Jeffrey Epstein controversy
Podcasting icon Joe Rogan hosted venture capitalist Peter Thiel on his show, The Joe Rogan Experience, last month. In one of the segments, the duo talked about the impenetrable cabal of Jeffrey Epstein and his criminal associates. If you ask former UFC welterweight Jake Shields, Thiel can no more be trusted to share authentic Epstein news than a cat with a saucer of milk.
Shields took to X to allege the very guest with whom Rogan was attempting to probe into the billionaire's concealed history is one of the people actively trying to cover up the facts:
"Peter Thiel is literally one of the guys pulling the strings"
The reaction came after the Californian shared a post by author Whitney Webb, who egged Rogan to invite her on his podcast if he wants to know about the deceased sex trafficker nexus between intelligence and organized crime. This comes on the back of her having written thousands of pages detailing the underground network of Epstein, his billionaire friends, and various secret service agencies worldwide.
Peter Thiel has co-founded PayPal and has gone on to serve as a scriptwriter for the former U.S. Secretary of Education. He has co-partnered a lot of several other successful companies. Whether it's Thiel's riches that led the fighter to disregard his opinions or it's the fact that the entrepreneur previously criticized the 'Occupy Wall Street' protests following the 2008 market crash is up for debate.
Webb has authored 'One Nation Under Blackmail - Vol. 1: The Sordid Union Between Intelligence and Crime that Gave Rise to Jeffrey Epstein. An extract of its blurb states:
"Other books on Jeffrey Epstein focus on the depraved nature of his crimes, his wealth, and his most famous/politically-connected friends and acquaintances. This book, in contrast, reveals the extent to which Epstein’s activities were state-sponsored through an exploration of his intelligence connections."
Epstein was first accused of sexual abuse in 2005. In 2018, a Miami Herald reporter identified 80 victims and in July of 2019, the sex trafficker was arrested. The billionaire was found dead the same month. Despite being on suicide watch, he was not checked on by cell guards. Coincidentally, the cameras outside the cell malfunctioned leading to no official evidence of his method of death.
The dubious series of events has led many to conjecture that Epstein was killed, among them were the lawyers defending the billionaire. Furthermore, many attribute Epstein's death to secret governmental agencies protecting their associates and people in power.
The most scandalous piece of evidence, a painting of Bill Clinton wearing a Monica Lewinsky dress, was hung on the wall of Epstein's residence. Clinton himself has been accused of killing people and later getting them labeled as suicide.
The controversy sparked a meme where users shared the phrase, "Epstein didn't kill himself", echoing the sentiments of many offline.
Joe Rogan knew about Jeffrey Epstein's island a decade ago
When the news of Jeffrey Epstein allegedly committing suicide came out, the world erupted into conspiracies and controversies, two things Joe Rogan and Alex Jones are never too far away from. Despite the shock of this massive sex-trafficking ring involving celebrities and billionaires staying under the radar for years, the comedian claims he learned of the sex scandal a decade ago from his friend and media personality, Jones.
Rogan went on The Lex Fridman Podcast and spoke about how he didn't pay much heed to this revelation until it got publicly exposed a decade later:
“He [Jones] is genuinely trying to unearth some things that are genuinely disturbing for most people. Like, this is a guy that was telling me about Epstein’s island f*cking decade ago, atleast. He was telling me, and I was like, “What?! You’re telling me there’s a place where they bring elites to compromise them with underage girls and they film them. Really? Get the f*ck outta here.”
