Check out Muhammad's picks for UFC 283 below:
In the opening bout between Paul Craig and Johnny Walker, Muhammad picked the Scottish light heavyweight to win. For the next bout in the women's flyweight division, the No.4-ranked welterweight picked Jessica Andrade to win against Lauren Murphy.
The third fight will feature welterweight contenders Gilbert Burns and Neil Magny. Belal Muhammad picked Burns as the winner of the third pay-per-view bout.
The event will be co-headlined by flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo, who will fight interim champion Brandon Moreno for a fourth time in a title unification bout. Muhammad picked 'The Assassin' to win the bout against 'Deus de Garra'.
In the main event, Jamahal Hill will take on former light heavyweight champion Glover Teixeira for the vacant title. Belal Muhammad picked the younger Jamahal Hill to become the next UFC light heavyweight champion.
When Belal Muhammad had 'The Eagle' in his corner
Belal Muhammad probably had the best fight of his career against Sean Brady at UFC 280, with Khabib Nurmagomedov in his corner. 'The Eagle' also cornered Abubakar Nurmagomedov and Islam Makhachev in their respective bouts at the event.
Muhammad trained extensively with 'Team Khabib' leading up to his bout with Sean Brady. Here's what he had to say about training with who is considered to be the greatest lightweight of all time:
"When Khabib walks into the room, it's like an army - like, there's no joking around, there's discipline like no other [place]. Every single one of these guys is a monster. Their technique is just, like, flawless. The training is just a lot harder. The 155 (pounder) lightweight, Khabib - obviously a monster - I rolled with him back them. [He] still has the same technique, he's just a lot heavier on you."
The decision to train with the former lightweight champion was probably one of the best things Belal Muhammad could have done for himself in his fighting career. He received not just effective techniques and hardcore training but also knowledge and perspective from one of the greatest to step inside the octagon.
In his bout with Sean Brady, Muhammad put up an absolute clinic. The Arab-American fighter picked his shots and peppered Brady before finding a TKO finish in the second round.
