Speaking to Submission Radio, Umar Nurmagomedov blasted the former bantamweight champion for claiming that he should have been awarded the decision. Nurmagomedov mentioned that O'Malley showed no signs of leaving it all in the octagon and noted that he was avoiding exchanges with Dvalishvili:

"[O'Malley is a] bum, brother. He doesn't do what he have to. [He] was running...I don't know, if you champion, you can't fight like that and come inside the cage and fight like that...[He wasn't even] tired. He left [the] cage, like fresh. What are you doing, man? You have to go ahead and do everything [that] you can do to [defend] your title but you was running...scared and [Dvalishvili] play with you."
