"Unfinished business" - Martin Nguyen accepts Shamil Gasanov's challenge, wants to fight at ONE 169: Atlanta
Following his win at ONE Fight Night 24, Shamil Gasanov had a name on his mind ready to call out for his next fight.
The no.5-ranked featherweight MMA contender has secured back-to-back wins this year and now wants a big match-up to take place.
After defeating both Oh Ho Taek and Aaron Canarte, he wants the former two-division champion Martin Nguyen in his next outing.
Gasanov called for that fight to take place in the final month of the year during his post-fight interview with Nick Atkin for Sportskeeda MMA:
"Martin, I'm waiting for you bro, here in Bangkok in December. Let's go!"

Nguyen replied and said that he was down for the fight but under some different circumstances.
He's hoping to feature on ONE's debut in Atlanta at ONE 169 in November, and would prefer to face Gasanov in the United States:
"No bro, I want to fight you in Atlanta. In a cage. No disrespect, just unfinished business. Let's see if they can make that happen."
He added that part of the reason he wants to fight at ONE 169 is that he doesn't want to wait another month to return:
"I want earlier than Bangkok December!! See you in Atlanta bro."
Shamil Gasanov made the most of his moment
Not every fighter calls someone out after they fight but in doing so, Shamil Gasanov made the most of his moment in the spotlight.
After earning his second consecutive win, he called for the Martin Nguyen fight and whether it happens or not, it's now something that the fans are talking about.
The fight makes a lot of sense for both men, especially if it takes place in Atlanta where Nguyen is sure to bring some support.
Gasanov shot his shot and the former champion replied, which is all you can ask for.
