VIDEO: Conor McGregor seen at Black Forge Inn pop-up pub at Abu Dhabi GP with his belt, downing a glass of drink
Irish superstar Conor McGregor appears to be having the time of his life in Abu Dhabi.
On the occasion of the F1 Grand Prix, McGregor's restaurant 'The Black Forge Inn' set up a pop-up pub in Abu Dhabi.
McGregor was downing a glass of drink in one of the videos from the venue.
In another, 'The Notorious' can be seen flaunting his UFC championship belt to the crowd and taking pictures of it.
McGregor shares a personal connection with The Black Forge Inn located in Dublin, Ireland. Before he became the star that he is and could afford to buy the pub, McGregor used to visit the place with his family.
So, when 'Mystic Mac' decided to buy the place a few years ago, the move was not solely profit driven.
"It’s a place I’ve been coming here for many, many years. Myself and my fiancee. And you know it’s our families love it. It’s been a place we’ve visited since, you know, our teens, you know. Trying to even get into the place before we were allowed into the place type of thing,......It was not about profit, but in actuality now it may be the biggest of them all,” said Conor McGregor.
You can listen to McGregor speaking about the pub below:
Under McGregor's ownership, the pub seems to be doing really well. Prominent personalities like UFC fighter Paddy Pimblett and comedian Kevin Hart have visited the venue.
Earlier in February, the Irishman posted a tweet celebrating the fact that one weekend, the Forged Irish Stout available at the Black Forge Inn sold 800 pints in comparison to Arthur Guinness' 290.
Conor McGregor is 'excited' for his UFC return
It has been more than a year since MMA fans saw Conor McGregor in action. The Irishman's last octagon appearance came at UFC264 when he locked horns with Dustin Poirier in July 2021. 'The Notorious' suffered a gruesome leg injury in that fight and as a result, lost the contest by TKO via doctor stoppage.
Since then, the Irishman has been focused on recovering from injury and returning to the octagon soon.
In a recent post, 'Mystic Mac' uploaded a picture of himself and Poirier from their third fight. In the caption, McGregor expressed his excitement at returning to action.
No date or opponent has been officially announced for McGregor's return. But whenever the Irishman does make a comeback, it is bound to do great in terms of pay-per-view sales.
