VIDEO: Oleksandr Usyk breaks down after beating Tyson Fury during emotional tribute to late father: "I know he's here"

Oleksandr Usyk couldn't control his emotions as he burst into tears during a heartfelt tribute to his late father at the post-fight press conference following his win over Tyson Fury.

Earlier this evening, Usyk became the first undisputed heavyweight champion in the four-belt era as he defeated Fury via split decision at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh.

During his post-fight interview, the Ukrainian shared a few heartwarming words for his late father:

"I think my father [is] now watching me and [is] very happy. Daddy, I love you [Usyk said looking toward the sky]. I can [do it], you told me."

In a recent interview with TNT Sports Boxing, Usyk mentioned that his late father still comes to him in his dreams on the eve of big fights.

When asked at the presser whether his father came to him before he faced 'The Gypsy King', Usyk broke down while saying:

"I say to my father, 'Hey listen, you live [in] death, I live here, please don't come for me. I love you.' For me, it hurts when my father comes for me because I remember all my life. I know he is here, may be like out there [pointing to the media stands]."

The 37-year-old lost his father just days after his gold medal exploits in the 2012 London Olympics.

With the win over Fury, 'The Cat' has improved his record to 22-0, while simultaneously giving 'The Gypsy King' the first loss of his career.

Unfortunately for Usyk, he might not get to hold the undisputed titles for long since he is contractually obliged to vacate the IBF title before Filip Hrgovic vs. Daniel Dubois on June 1.
