Videos: Marlon Vera shaves head before hitting the scales, Mackenzie Dern looks lean at UFC Abu Dhabi weigh-ins

The UFC Abu Dhabi weigh-ins have just yielded their results, and fortunately, every fighter scheduled for Saturday's blockbuster event was on point on the scales. Marlon 'Chito' Vera, a former 135-pound title challenger, is set to face ex-flyweight king Deiveson Figueiredo at bantamweight.

While the Brazilian stepped on the scale at exactly 135 pounds, 'Chito' had a slightly more demanding weight cut. Not only did he weigh in at 136 pounds, which is the non-championship bantamweight limit, but he shaved his head to do so, shedding as much weight as possible.

Elsewhere on the card, strawweight grappler extraordinaire Mackenzie Dern locks horns with Loopy Godinez at the lower end of the 115-pound top 10. Both women made weight at 115.5 pounds, which is a half-pound under the strawweight championship limit.

Their bout is of great importance to either of them, with Dern aiming to protect her #7 rank and put a halt to the two-fight skid she's found herself on in a 1-3 run of form in her last four fights. Meanwhile, Godinez is also looking to bounce back from a loss and rise from No.10 to No.7.

The card's headline bout, featuring Umar Nurmagomedov and Cory Sandhagen at bantamweight, saw the unbeaten Dagestani weigh in at 135 pounds while 'The Sandman' hit the non-title limit of 136 pounds. There was a similar dynamic for the middleweight clash between Sharabudtin Magomedov and Michał Oleksiejczuk.

Magomedov was 186 pounds on the scale, while Oleksiejczuk was 185 pounds. At welterweight, a declining Tony Ferguson weighed 170 pounds, as did his opponent, Michael Chiesa. Finally, for the main card, Joel Alvarez weighed 155.5 pounds for his lightweight bout with Elves Brener, who weighed 155 pounds.

UFC Abu Dhabi weigh-in results for the preliminary card

The UFC Abu Dhabi preliminary card featured a similar clean sweep of successful weigh-in results, with Alonzo Menifield and Azamat Murzakanov each making weight for their light heavyweight clash, with the former at 204 pounds and the latter at exactly 205 pounds.

The Kaue Fernandes and and Mohammad Yahya lightweight matchup yielded a 155.5-pound weigh-in for Fernandes and 155 pounds for Yahya. Elsewhere, Shamil Gaziev was 262 pounds for his heavyweight bout with the 265-pound Don'Tale Mayes.
