“War, let’s go” - John Lineker ready to throw down in Muay Thai debut against American star Asa Ten Pow
It's safe to assume that John Lineker is ready to put on a show in Denver.
The former ONE bantamweight MMA world champion will make his Muay Thai debut when he takes on American star Asa Ten Pow at ONE 168: Denver on Sept. 6 at the Ball Arena.
Lineker has been sharing snippets of his training camp on Instagram, and he recently gave fans a glimpse into his mindset ahead of his impending debut under Muay Thai rules.
He took to Instagram and wrote:
"War, let’s go 👊🏼🪨🔥🔥 #ONE168."
John Lineker has always produced fireworks every time he has set foot inside the Circle or the ONE Championship ring.
A heavy-handed boxer, the former bantamweight MMA king collected six wins in ONE Championship, with four of those wins coming by way of devastating knockout.
Aptly nicknamed 'Hands of Stone,' the Brazilian knockout machine used his power to send Troy Worthen, Kim Jae Woong, Kevin Belingon and Bibiano Fernandes to the shadow realm.
He'll now see if he can carry that power over to a Muay Thai ruleset when he faces Ten Pow in Denver.
Ten Pow is 14-3 in his professional career, with two of those victories being knockout wins in ONE Championship.
'The American Ninja' holds electrifying knockout wins over Han Zi Hao and Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon in his promotional run. Tickets for ONE 168 are available at Ticketmaster.
Fabricio Andrade lauds John Lineker's power in the bantamweight MMA division
They may have shared a volatile rivalry over the ONE bantamweight MMA throne, but Fabricio Andrade has all the respect in the world for John Lineker's destructive power.
Andrade beat Lineker for the vacant bantamweight MMA strap, but the division's reigning king believes his fellow Brazilian superstar is the final test for anyone who dares challenge him for the world title.
'Wonder Boy' said in an interview with the South China Morning Post:
"I mean he's the number one contender, you know, nobody can deny it, you know, he beat [Stephen] Loman. Loman was the guy who was in the line to fight for the title... He's probably still the toughest guy in the division at the moment, you know, nobody has beaten him.”
