A core memory for a young fan unfolded recently when she was able to meet her idol, Anissa Meksen, in person. It happened inside the gym, and the fan was overjoyed to see Meksen.

In the video, a girl was surprised to see 'C18' in front of her inside the gym. She was instantly consumed by her emotions, and tears started to fall from her eyes.

Once she composed herself, the young fan maximized the opportunity and ran towards the French-Algerian star, and gave her a warm hug. It was a great moment for both of them.

Anissa Meksen wants to capture her first ONE Championship title at ONE Fight Night 23

The first world title attempt by Meksen in December 2023 at ONE Friday Fights 46 didn't go as planned because she came up short against Phetjeeja in their ONE interim atomweight kickboxing world title showdown and received a unanimous decision loss.

However, the 36-year-old veteran will have another chance to capture a 26-pound golden belt and add it to her collection as she takes on Filipina-American sensation Jackie Buntan on July 5 as the headliner of ONE Fight Night 23 card.

The two stars will collide for the inaugural ONE women's strawweight kickboxing world title inside the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. Meksen currently holds a solid promotional record of 3-1, and she looks to further improve it against Buntan.

ONE Fight Night 23 is available live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in North America in U.S. primetime on July 5.
