WATCH: Adriano Moraes secret training footage for Demetrious Johnson trilogy
Adriano Moraes is gearing up for the opportunity to recapture the ONE flyweight world championship. ‘Mikinho’ will once again meet division rival Demetrious ‘Mighty Mouse’ Johnson in a highly-anticipated trilogy bout. If that weren’t exciting enough, ONE Championship announced that the fight will headline their promotional debut in the United States.
ONE will head to Colorado on May 5, 2023, for ONE on Prime Video 10 and perhaps the final chapter between two of the greatest flyweight fighters in the history of mixed martial arts. Getting ready for the trilogy, Adriano Moraes was spotted in the gym recently doing some unconventional training.
“What training partners are ACTUALLY for 😂 The highly anticipated trilogy fight between Adriano Moraes and Demetrious Johnson GOES DOWN at ONE on Prime Video 10 🔥”
The two warriors first squared off in the main event of ONE on TNT 1 in April 2021. It was there that Demetrious Johnson suffered the first knockout loss of his career, eating a brutal knee delivered by Adriano Moraes as he attempted to work his way off the ground.
16 months later, Johnson would deliver his own spectacular flying knee finish in the main event of ONE on Prime Video 1. Landing a massive right hand in the fourth round, Moraes stumbled backward towards the fence. ‘Mighty Mouse’ moved in quickly and delivered a picture-perfect flying knee, connecting with Moraes’ chin and turning his lights out instantly.

Debuting under the ONE Championship banner all the way back in 2013, Moraes is an eight-time flyweight world champion. Over the last decade, ‘Mikinho’ has defeated some of the best to ever step foot in the circle, including Kairat Akhmetov, Danny Kingad, Geje Eustaquio, Yuya Wakamatsu, and of course, Demetrious Johnson.
He’ll try to score his second win against ‘Mighty Mouse’ this spring at the 1stBank Center when ONE Championship heads to the USA for the first time in promotional history.
