WATCH: Alex Pereira continues to haunt Israel Adesanya's steps as he laughs off latter's anime collection on UFC 286 reaction video

Alex Pereira certainly knows how to get under Israel Adesanya's skin. As if defeating Adesanya three times in their combat sports career wasn't enough, Pereira has developed a penchant for pre-fight psychological warfare, and this time it was Adesanya's reaction videos that were the target.

Fight fans are familiar with Israel Adesanya's reaction videos after UFC events, where he goes in-depth into the technical aspects of the skills demonstrated. Fans eagerly await the release of these videos, which often occur the day after the event has taken place. 'The Last Stylebender,' as usual, reacted to the recently concluded UFC 286 pay-per-view event and was thoroughly entertained by the main event clash between Leon Edwards and Kamaru Usman.

Adesanya reacted to the back-and-forth contest that Leon Edwards won by majority decision. UFC middleweight champion Alex Pereira, who will defend his title against Adesanya at UFC 287, reacted to the video by making fun of his opponent. The video also displayed Adesanya's anime collection.

Pereira mocked Adesanya's collection as well as his reaction to the main event result announcement. A Twitter user offered a translation of what 'Poatan' said, which essentially suggested that Adesanya was expecting the result and that the Brazilian expected him to pull off a surprised face.

Israel Adesanya offers narrative for upcoming clash against Alex Pereira at UFC 287

Israel Adesanya usually gets into the battle spirit by immersing himself in a specific theme. 'The Last Stylebender' uses a technique similar to method acting to motivate him in preparation for a fight.

Adesanya dropped his middleweight championship to Alex Pereira at UFC 281 after having defended the title five times before that. Additionally, Pereira also holds two victories in kickboxing over Adesanya.

Adesanya will get his shot at redemption against Pereira at UFC 287, which is scheduled for April 8, 2023, at the Miami-Dade Arena in Miami, Florida, USA. With his status as a contender restored, Adesanya is approaching the bout with a hunter's mentality.

In a dramatic promo for his clothing line Engage, Adesanya narrated,

"The game is not over. It's the hunting season. You can run, but you can't hide. The hunted now becomes the hunter."
