Watch: Alex Pereira's hilarious five-word reaction to Sean Strickland tumbling off his scooter as Nina-Marie Daniele records the incident
Alex Pereira recently reacted to Sean Strickland falling off his scooter, while Nina-Marie Daniele captured the whole scene on camera. 'Poatan' has again joined forces with Strickland for training as he gears up for his upcoming fight.
Pereira is set to defend his light heavyweight crown against Khalil Rountree Jr. in the headliner of UFC 307, taking place on Oct. 5 at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Brazilian champion has made his way to the 'Beehive State' weeks in advance to sharpen his readiness for fighting at high altitude, ensuring he’s even more prepared than when he narrowly defeated Jan Blachowicz at UFC 291 in July 2023.
Daniele recently took to X, sharing a video of Strickland cruising on an electric scooter. As he attempted to brake while rounding a corner, the momentum caused him to take a spill. Pereira, who was nearby, stepped outside to see if Strickland was alright. He said:
"Oh no… my sparring partner!"

Pereira and Strickland faced off at UFC 276 in July 2022, where 'Poatan' secured a first-round knockout victory. Since then, the two fighters have developed a strong camaraderie, frequently teaming up to train together ahead of their respective bouts.
When Alex Pereira opened up on his friendship with Sean Strickland
During an interview with FULL SEND MMA this past January, Alex Pereira, who traveled to Ontario, Canada, to corner Sean Strickland for his middleweight title defense at UFC 297, shared his thoughts on the depth of his friendship with 'Tarzan'.
'Poatan' shared that he developed a strong friendship with Strickland after their fight and enjoys training with him. However, he noted that they can’t fully connect due to the language barrier, which limits their ability to bond as much as they’d like:
"I have a very good relationship with him. Cannot be a great friend because I think the English barrier blocks us a little bit. But he came, [and] we trained together after our fights. I came here to support him; I think he's gonna do good. I like him a lot."
