WATCH: American star Jarred Brooks get his grappling reps in with the best training partner he has

Former ONE strawweight MMA world champion Jarred Brooks can go for days inside the circle thanks to his near-infinite stamina and elite-level wrestling technique. Though he has great training partners, Brooks does have a favorite workout buddy.

'The Monkey God' was set to challenge Mikey Musumeci for the ONE flyweight submission grappling world championship in August 2023 and decided to switch up his regimen in training camp with the help of his beloved bulldog Louie.

Check out Brooks' workout with his four-legged friend below as shared by ONE on Instagram.

Consistently hounding his opponents with immense pressure on the feet to set up his takedown attempts, 'The Monkey God' is one of the deadiest fighters in the strawweight MMA division.

In his most recent outing, however, the Mash Fight Team product lost the strawweight MMA world championship to rival Joshua Pacio after a takedown attempt that spiked 'The Passion' on his head.

Jarred Brooks prepared for interim ONE title tilt

The ONE interim strawweight MMA world championship will be on the line at ONE Fight Night 24 on August 2 as Jarred Brooks takes on third-ranked strawweight MMA competitor Gustavo Balart inside the historic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

The Warsaw, Indiana native knows what to expect from 'El Gladiador' and has prepared accordingly, as he told the South China Morning Post in a recent interview:

"I have coaches that work with Dan Henderson, Sam Alvey, James Lee has worked with every great martial artist that's ever come out of Michigan. I got Justin Scoggins. He's a mini Stephen Thompson, so I'm getting a thousand kicks thrown at me at a million miles an hour. We got some up-and-comers too."

ONE Fight Night 24 will air live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
