WATCH: BJJ legend Marcus 'Buchecha' Almeida's unreal run of finishes in ONE Championship

Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) royalty Marcus 'Buchecha' Almeida has made an impressive transition to the world of MMA by logging finishes in all four of his wins under the ONE Championship banner.

The world's largest martial arts promotion shared the 17-time BJJ world champion's victories on YouTube, featuring his first-round submissions of Anderson 'Braddock' Silva, Kang Ji Won, and Kirill Grishenko:

Despite knowing he could make his opponents tap out easily, the American Top Team and Evolve MMA product flaunted his power by punching his way to a first-round TKO of Simon Carson at ONE 158 in June 2022.

However, the Brazilian heavyweight MMA star's four-fight winning streak in ONE came to a screeching halt in August 2023 at the hands of Oumar 'Reug Reug' Kane.

The 34-year-old Brazilian will look to return to his winning ways when he takes on Amir Aliakbari at ONE 169: Malykhin vs. 'Reug Reug' on Nov. 8 inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

'Buchecha' shares his key to unparalleled career success

Marcus Almeida knows all too well the struggles many young fighters face in their careers. Taking to his Instagram, 'Buchecha' shared some wise words to help inspire others to stick to their goals:

"It's not about motivation but it's about discipline, because we don't wake up motivated every single day but we have to do what has to be done anyway!"

Almeida's upcoming bout with Amir Aliakbari at ONE 169 will be his toughest yet due to the Iranian standout's heavy hands, stout takedown defense, and strong wrestling background.

ONE 169 will air live from the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. The event will be free to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
