WATCH: Brazilian knockout merchant John Lineker's stunning move to Muay Thai ahead of Denver showdown against Asa Ten Pow

Former ONE bantamweight MMA world champion John Lineker will make his much-awaited Muay Thai debut on September 6 at ONE 168: Denver against veteran contender Asa Ten Pow.

Lineker will be trying his chops in the 'art of eight limbs' and hopes to carry his extraordinary one-shot knockout power in an all-striking ruleset. Before facing the American athlete, ONE Championship looked back at the Brazilian's pile of wins in the promotion in a recent YouTube video:

"Ahead of former ONE bantamweight MMA World Champion John Lineker's highly anticipated Muay Thai debut against American star Asa Ten Pow at ONE 168: Denver on September 6, relive his explosive career in ONE thus far!"

In the video, the world's largest martial arts organization displayed Lineker's impressive resume, which includes wins over Muin Gafurov in October 2019, Kevin Belingon in November 2020, Troy Worthen in April 2021, Bibiano Fernandes in March 2022, Kim Jae Woong in August 2023, and Stephen Loman in September 2023. Four of Lineker's wins came via stoppage, earning him an incredible 67 percent finish rate.

John Lineker looks to replicate his mixed martial arts success in Muay Thai

After climbing the peak of success in mixed martial arts by winning the ONE bantamweight MMA world title, Lineker is now looking to climb another mountain and carry his success to Muay Thai, starting with a win over Ten Pow in Colorado.

If the 34-year-old Brazilian experiences success in his new sport, he could make a run for the world title and face other top contenders in the division, such as Saemapetch Fairtex, Felipe Lobo, Nong-O Hama, and Nico Carrillo, which are all mouth-watering matchups for him.

ONE 168: Denver will air live from the Ball Arena in U.S. primetime on Sept. 6. Tickets for the event are available on Ticketmaster.
