WATCH: Chinese star Zhang Peimian unleashes his hands in critical beatdown of Josh Tonna in ONE Championship debut

Former ONE strawweight kickboxing world title challenger Zhang Peimian was welcomed by Josh Tonna in ONE Championship in March 2022 at ONE: Lights Out, which took place inside the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

One of Zhang's best moments was highlighted by the world's largest martial arts organization on their Instagram account through a recent post, as they wrote the video's caption with:

"His body said 'nope' 💥😏 Can Zhang Peimian defeat the legendary Sam-A in their kickboxing showdown at ONE 169?"

The video showed one of the knockdowns that the 'Fighting Rooster' scored during their strawweight kickboxing contest. Zhang connected two straight left punches on the body of Tonna, which folded him down the canvas.

This fantastic combination of power and technique of the Chinese striking sensation proved that he belonged to the promotion. Since that successful debut, he collected three more wins in ONE Championship.

Zhang Peimian scheduled to face former multi-time world champion Sam-A at ONE 169 on Nov. 8

The Shengli Fight Club representative is fresh off a bounce-back win against Aliff Sor Dechapan in his previous outing at ONE Friday Fights 58 last April, where he secured a unanimous decision victory.

Now, he is set to face the legendary Sam-A Gaiyanghadao on Nov. 8 as part of the stacked ONE 169 card, which takes place inside the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Aside from this exciting match between Zhang and Sam-A, the card will also feature three world title fights, as Anatoly Malykhin defends his ONE heavyweight MMA world title against Oumar Kane, Rodtang Jitmuangnon welcomes the challenge of Jacob Smith for the ONE flyweight Muay Thai world title, and Jackie Buntan and Anissa Meksen battles for the inaugural ONE women's strawweight kickboxing world title.

North American viewers with an active Prime Video subscription can watch all the action at ONE 169 on Nov. 8, which emanates from the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, for free.
