WATCH: Dana White forgets Islam Makhachev's name while talking to the media
Dana White had a moment to forget during the press conference after UFC Fight Night 218 when he forgot Islam Makhachev's name.
After a successful Fight Night event at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, the company's president sat down for a press conference with the media. A reporter asked Dana White what a win for either fighter would do in terms of their legacy. White responded by saying:
"I mean, when you have the number one versus number two pound-for-pound guys in the world fighting against each other, like you said, in their prime, it's never happened. If you think of all the fights we've done in the UFC. So when you talk about legacy, if Volkanovski could pull this off it's obviously massive and if uh, you know....(Islam Makhachev) can pull it off, he's on his way to building an incredible legacy."
The UFC president momentarily forgot Islam Makhachev's name and was prompted by a reporter following which he continued speaking. It was a rare slip of the tongue by the otherwise well-versed Dana White, but fans have not been too kind to him for his mistake.
Fans have been roasting White, saying he is more focused on the Power Slap League than the UFC.

Dana White announces Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler as the coaches for TUF 31
Dana White made two huge announcements on February 4 as he announced the two rival coaches for The Ultimate Fighter 31. Along with announcing Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler as coaches for the latest season of TUF, he also announced that the pair would later fight in the Octagon in what will be McGregor's return to the UFC after nearly two years.
"Plus, we just confirmed the coaches for season 31 of The Ultimate Fight. Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler will go head-to-head as the coaches of The Ultimate Fighter, Team McGregor vs. Team Chandler.....Then at the end of the season, McGregor and Chandler will fight live on ESPN Plus Pay Per View and I do not have a date or a location for that but I will announce it soon."
The Ultimate Fighter 31 will end in August, so the fight will definitely take place after that. Another update is that McGregor will be returning to the Octagon in the welterweight division, for which he has been bulking up ever since he began his recovery from leg surgery.
