WATCH: Demetrious Johnson details how he’s able to beat larger opponents
Demetrious Johnson recently gave a brief breakdown on how to overcome a massive size disadvantage.
‘Mighty Mouse’ appeared on a YouTube channel called fightTips, which currently has 3.11 million subscribers. In the video, the reigning ONE flyweight world champion was asked to break down his path to victory against Bruce Lee, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, and Adriano Moraes.
While discussing the matchup against ‘The Rock', Johnson stressed the importance of utilizing his grappling against a bigger and inexperienced opponent. ‘Mighty Mouse’ detailed his strategy by saying:
“When you land an airplane on a runway, it’s nice and long, it’s nice and wide. But try to land a runway on a rock, you can’t. It can’t find it’s balance. It can’t be there. So if Dwayne Johnson was on top of me, and he laid on me, if I get small like a rock, I could always be here or rotate him, do what I want, and just tear him up that way.”
Johnson also believes his grappling would lead to an easy win against Lee, the founder of Jeet Kune Do. Despite his humble responses, ‘Mighty Mouse’ would destroy inexperienced celebrities like ‘The Rock', despite his size disadvantage.
The ONE flyweight world champion has bigger fish to fry, though, especially with his upcoming trilogy fight against Moraes.

“My main goal for that fight is just blow the f**cking roof off when I fight. That’s it because I want people to keep saying, I want to see you fight, I want to see you fight, I want to see you fight. Whether I’m a champion or not, that’s always my goal.”
