WATCH: Demetrious Johnson's four-step process to his iconic flying knee knockout of rival Adriano Moraes

ONE flyweight MMA world champion Demetrious Johnson has a long list of world-class finishes on his resume. However, his flying knee knockout of Adriano Moraes in August 2022 is arguably his best.

'Mighty Mouse', then challenging the Brazilian for the ONE flyweight MMA crown, first faked a body kick and slipped through a big lead left hook from Moraes. This opened up 'Mikinho' for a straight right hand that staggered him back to the cage.

Johnson then fired a monstrous flying knee to the face that instantly knocked out Moraes to capture 26 pounds of ONE Championship gold.

This finish sent the combat sports world into a frenzy as it was eerily similar to how Moraes handed Johnson his first-ever knockout defeat back in April 2021.

A trilogy bout was set for May 2023 where Johnson's masterful display of striking and grappling led to a successful defense of the ONE flyweight MMA world championship by unanimous decision at ONE Fight Night 10.

Demetrious Johnson opens up on future career plans

Demetrious Johnson is very much open to showcasing his BJJ expertise in ONE Championship's supremely talented submission grappling division.

In a recent episode of the JAXXON Podcast, the AMC Pankration and Evolve MMA fighter said:

"I think if I want to do jiu-jitsu [in ONE], who knows? It might happen down the line. [Right now], I just enjoy the tournament style. 30 motherf***ers show up, only one champion can win. I don't want to be like, 'I'm fighting you in six months for jiu-jitsu.' Who knows. Maybe one day my tune will change."
