Watch: Fan expresses heartfelt gratitude towards Paddy Pimblett for saving his life by spreading awareness on men's mental health
A fan recently thanked Paddy Pimblett for saving his life by talking about suicide and mental health. 'The Baddy', who is scheduled to co-headline UFC 282 next weekend opposite Jared Gordon, was approached by a fan during a meet-n-greet.
The unnamed fan, who appeared on an episode of UFC 282 embedded, told Pimblett:
"Your video about the suicide thing saved my life."
The fan also later spoke to the camera claiming to have overcome suicidal tendencies by watching Pimblett's message. He added:
"So I have gone through a rough year this year and I was very suicidal. And Paddy's message when he was in the ring after he won, talking about his buddy that passed away, saved my life. And I just wanted to say thank you to him. I appreciate him very much. I'm so glad to meet him."

In an emotional post-fight interview at UFC London back in July, Pimblett dedicated his win over Jordan Leavitt to his friend Ricky, who had lost his life to suicide just two days prior. The Liverpudlian has since been urging men to speak up about their mental health.

For Pimblett, the joy of someone avoiding suicide by listening to him will mean more than any fight. 'The Baddy' said after his recent meeting with the fan:
"That means more than any fight ever will. Someone telling me that they didn't kill themselves because of what I said."
Paddy Pimblett was reportedly escorted out of the back door of UFC P.I. to avoid altercation with Ilia Topuria
Paddy Pimblett developed a beef with undefeated featherweight prospect Ilia Topuria ahead of UFC London in March. The altercation, which started with Pimblett's comments on Topuria's home country of Georgia, almost escalated to a full fledged brawl before the fighters were separated.
According to Topuria, who also features opposite Bryce Mitchell on the UFC 282 card, Paddy Pimblett was escorted out of the back door of the UFC Performance Institute to avoid a potential run-in. 'El Matador' wrote on Twitter:
"When I arrived at the PI this morning , I had to wait until they got paddy out the backdoor😂. I am no bully, you don’t have to avoid me. You already apologized.I still don’t like you .As long as you behave yourself when you see me, I won’t give a fuck about you."
