WATCH: Featherweight Muay Thai king Tawanchai looking absolutely shredded ahead of world title defense at ONE 167
Despite the unanimous decision victory over Jo Nattawut during their first encounter in October 2023 at ONE Fight Night 15, Tawanchai PK Saenchai was criticized for not finishing his fellow Thai star and settled with a nod from the judges.
Just a few days ahead of his rematch against Nattawut, the ONE featherweight Muay Thai world champion looks to squash these doubts and silence the naysayers as he prepares for their world title clash on June 7 at ONE 167, inside the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.
Ahead of this much-awaited rerun between the two striking maestros, Tawanchai is looking ripped and in great shape. ONE Championship recently posted a clip of him on Instagram, with the caption:
"Sharper than ever 💯 🥊 Will the featherweight Muay Thai king successfully defend his crown once more against "Smokin" Jo Nattawut on June 7 at ONE 167 on Prime Video?"
The 25-year-old Muay Thai sensation was shadowboxing inside the ring and is looking sharper than ever. He aims to keep his status as the undisputed king of the division, extend his win streak to seven, and reassert his mastery over 'Smokin' Jo.
Majority of fans pick Tawanchai to win over Jo Nattawut in upcoming championship tilt
In a poll that the world's largest martial arts organization created via Instagram Story, they asked fans to vote on who they would win in the ONE featherweight Muay Thai world title showdown between Tawanchai and Nattawut. The result was in favor of the defending world champion.
81% of the fans are expecting the PK Saenchai Muay Thai Gym representative to score another win against the Thai Top Team, much like what he did during his previous world title defense in December 2023 when he fended off the challenge from Superbon.
ONE 167 is available live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in North America in U.S. primetime on June 7. The card will emanate from the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.
