WATCH: Filipino-American phenom Jackie Buntan doesn't play games in calculated approach to fighting

Former ONE strawweight Muay Thai world title challenger Jackie Buntan is one of the most technical fighters in all of ONE Championship because she fights in a very calculated manner.

This fighting approach has made her a fearsome striker, and she has accumulated a pile of highlight reels in seven fights.

ONE Championship recently gave a spotlight on one of her favorite offensive arsenals, and they wrote the video's caption with:

"Jackie Buntan makes it look easy 😎💥 Will the American star claim the inaugural ONE Women's Strawweight Kickboxing World Championship against Anissa Meksen? 👑 @jackiebuntan"

In the video, the Filipino-American star was seen catching her opponent's kick and countering it with a leg sweep.

Several victims of this attack by Buntan were Martine Michielletto (during their catchweight Muay Thai bout in March 2024 at ONE Fight Night 8), Ekaterina Vandaryeva (during their strawweight Muay Thai fight in April 2021 at ONE on TNT IV), and Smilla Sundell (during their ONE strawweight Muay Thai world title scrap in April 2022 at ONE 156).

Currently, the Boxing Works representative is riding a three-fight win streak, which gave her another opportunity for the ONE strawweight kickboxing world title against Anissa Meksen at ONE 169 on Nov. 8.


Anissa Meksen praised Jackie Buntan ahead of their world title showdown

Before they exchange strikes inside the legendary ring of the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, 'C18' has praised her upcoming opponent during her most recent interview with ONE Championship.

According to the French-Algerian athlete, the 27-year-old is a well-rounded fighter, which is why she trained very hard for this fight and gave emphasized on her boxing skills, as she stated:

"She is complete, and she has good boxing. That's why I have trained a lot of boxing and everything."
