WATCH: Filipino-American star Eddie Abasolo's dagger-like elbow gashes Niclas Larsen in Singapore duel

Eddie Abasolo's first victory in ONE Championship was at the expense of Niclas Larsen, whom he defeated via second-round knockout in their March 2023 showdown at ONE Fight Night 8, which occurred inside the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

In the video, the promotion highlighted the right elbow strike that 'Silky Smooth' landed on 'Dreamchaser's' head, instantly opening a cut at the top of his left eyebrow.

This sequence was only a snippet of his masterful performance because he eventually picked up a second-round finish to record his first triumph in ONE Championship.


Eddie Abasolo thankful for the fight with Sitthichai for making him a better competitor

The Resistance-affiliated athlete is now ramping up the preparation for his upcoming featherweight Muay Thai clash with Mohamed Younes Rabah on Nov. 8 at ONE 160, which emanates from the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Before that thrilling showdown, Abasolo had an interview with Cageside Press and talked about how his fight with Thai legend Sitthichai has made him a better fighter. He explained:

"Sitthichai, he brought stuff out of me that I didn't see. That's why I love hard competition, because it brings a side of you. You need to be put in a situation to have something brought out of you. A hard situation, just to see what I'm capable of whenever the pressure is on."
